This is an exciting opportunity to advance your software engineering career at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and Community Banking division, specifically the Chase Travel team. As a Software Engineer III, you will be a seasoned agile team member responsible for designing and delivering trusted, market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, scalable manner. Your work supports multiple technical areas and business functions aligned with the firm's objectives.

Your core responsibilities include executing software solutions, designing and troubleshooting complex problems, producing production-quality secure code, and maintaining synchronized system algorithms. You will create architecture and design artifacts and continuously improve applications by analyzing and synthesizing large, diverse datasets.

Proactively identifying hidden data and system issues to enhance coding hygiene and architectural design is a critical part of the job. You will also contribute to the software engineering community within JPMorgan Chase, fostering a culture of diversity, inclusion, and respect.

Key Technical Skills:

Angular, Redux or Flux (state management frameworks), HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, Bootstrap, SASS, Google Analytics, Responsive Web Design, Code Quality Tools (LINT, SonarQube), Test-Driven Development (Jasmine, Karma, Jest), Build Tools (Grunt, Gulp, Webpack), Node.js (conceptual knowledge), MongoDB (conceptual knowledge), AJAX, RESTful Web Services

Requirements:

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts
  • Minimum 3 years of applied experience in software development
  • Working experience with Angular for web application development
  • Experience with state management libraries/frameworks like Redux or Flux
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with leadership qualities
  • Ensure technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and build responsive applications
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies like HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, Bootstrap & SASS
  • Experience using code quality tools and implementing TDD
  • Knowledge of build tools like Grunt, Gulp, Webpack
  • Conceptual understanding of server-side JavaScript (Node.js) and databases (MongoDB)
  • Web services integration with AJAX and REST APIs

Preferred:

  • Awareness of web accessibility standards
  • Experience developing web components and custom elements
  • Experience working on multi-lingual websites with internationalization/globalization
  • Familiarity with Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) processes
